Common Corrosion Problems in Radiator
Steam Erosion
The hot steam in the radiator is another factor that would elevate the damages / leakage in a rusty radiator. Hence a rust free radiator will have a much longer life span and reduced downtime to near zero.
Solder Bloom
The soldered joint in the radiator is the weakest area that will give way to leakages due to corrosion.
Header Leaks
Corrosion is most commonly found at the header and causes leakage hence it elevate overheating in the engine compartment due to coolant losses.

Radiator Treatment Direction
1. Drain off all the water in the radiator
2. Fill in radiator with 20% by volume of Xcelplus non-toxic rust remover
3. Top up the radiator with clean water
4. Start the engine and let it run for 5 minutes. This allow the rust remover to circulate to
all parts of the cooling system
5. Switch off the engine and allow the rust remover in the radiator to sit for minimum of 5 hours.
6. Drain off the entire fluid/rust remover from the radiator.
7. Refill radiator with clean water.
8. Recommended maintenance interval within every 750 hours or 15,000 Km
